Swadesi Movement

We represent our land through conscious rap.

Swadesi movement represent social consciousness through music and beyond. The multi-lingual hip-hop crew believes in ‘music with a cause’. With their unsparing lyrical content intertwined with folk and bass music, Swadesi has created a unique sound and brand of its own. Their songs are inspired by people and made for people. Taking inspiration from the poems of social reformers like Tukaram, their verses serve as a mirror to the society. Swadesi is regarded as Indian Hip Hop’s only socio-political group, that continually aims to bring about change through art and music.
